Last sunday the waiting had an end...finally! ( To everyone who doesn't know: Here in Germany New Moon opened November 26th, but on November 22th they did a prescreening where Twilight and New Moon were shown directly after each other.)
Happy and optimistic we headed to see the New Moon Preview in Stuttgart. Two hours an a few unexepcted complications later wie arrived at the underground station in front of Si-Centrum. ("Where do have to go?" "Down there, right? Or not?" "I thought you knew!" "Yes, but, no, yes, what?!""Having arrived at the right station we didn't have the slightest idea how to get to the movie theater that is somewhere in the Si-Centrum. So we just asked the first girls wearing new moon shirts we saw if they knew the way. (You gotta go up there and left and right and then...Just follow us!) Finally we got to the movie theater at 11:55 (It was supposed to start at 12 o'clock..)being totally stressed out. My friends went to get us popcorn while I got the tickets and ten minutes later we were finally able to take our seats. And then we were able to enjoy an hour ofcommercials...
Really cool: They put a new moon poster on every seat. Then finally Twilight started. And this time my best friend and I weren't the only ones singing along the songs... Seeing Twilight on the big screen again was cool but it was obvious that everyone just wanted New Moon to start! Two hours of Twilight later it did...First just a moon appeared on the screen. It disappeared while the words New Moon slowly appeared.I've got to admit that I wasn't able to do anything besides watching. I wasn't even able to continue eating my popcorn! The movie was so stunning! Way, way better than the first one.
I loved how the camera just circled around Bella during her „zombie months“. In my opinion they didn't show enough of Bella and Jacob's friendship developing. Nonetheless their conversations showed how close they are to each other. And oh my gosh – Taylor is so damn talented! The way he expressed Jake's pain and his whole situation was totally amazing!
I also liked that Victoria was more present in the movie than in the book. That somehow made her even more dangerous. And because of that you also saw the wolves more often, what was really cool. They did a great job doing the scences in Italy, too. Especially Edward and Felix fighting. They made it so fast that you really had the feeling of being a human surrounded by vampires. And Michael Sheen did an amazing job portraing Aro! He really knew how to express Aros insanity When Bella and Edward get back I thought things were happening to fast – she immediately believes that he's really back and that he's going to stay. What I didn't like either was Bella telling Jake that she loves him without adding something like „you're my best friend.“ Cause actually she just realizes that she's really in love with him in Eclipse!
And the ending? „Marry me.“ Over. They just can't do this to us! Okay, of course we all know what's going to happen but anyway!! They just can't do this! Though, finally, I've got to say that the movie was really stunning and I don't know how to survive until the DvD is being released!
So what's left to tell you? Well, us trying to get home was about as chaotic as us trying to get there...Especially because we arrived at the main station in Stutgart exactly at 6:21 pm and our train was supposed to leave at 6:22 pm...So we started running through the whole station as fast as we could, trying to get to platform 2 in time, yelling at the other people getting in our train to keep the door open. We managed to get in in time and collapsed right in the train – not able to search for some empty seats.
But it was so worth it!
